Funding to Fill the Gap
This year, our goal is for the event Miles for Mitrata Kids to raise the necessary funds to support our 2025 Contact Center Graduates through their transition from the Contact Center to elementary school. These funds will cover the cost of their schooling, healthcare, living expenses, and educational and personal supplies.

Getting our Hands Dirty at the Contact Centers!
In honor of World Environment Day, the children at the Contact Centers spent time learning about sustainability and environmental protection both in the classroom, and in the garden!
A Sponsorship Success Story
Jim Brasunas first began sponsoring a child through Mitrata in 2001. He is now one of the many individuals who has sponsored a child all the way through graduation. Read his sponsorship story here:

Enjoying Spring in Nepal
Every year, a few members of the Mitrata Board of Directors travel to Nepal in the spring. A Night of Joy and Connection: Celebrating the Special Bond Between Sponsors and Children
Every year, shortly after arriving in Nepal, a cherished tradition takes place: a special dinner that brings together Mitrata’s sponsors and their sponsored children. This long-awaited event is filled with anticipation and excitement, as sponsors and children finally get to sit across from each other, sharing stories and enjoying a meal. For some, this is the first face-to-face meeting after years of exchanging letters. For others, it marks a joyful reunion, rich with familiar smiles and shared memories. Regardless of the circumstances, the evening is always filled with happiness.

Sponsoring Fun!
We believe fun is one of the most important aspects of a well-rounded childhood, so Mitrata and our NGO partner in Nepal, Bhuvaneshwori Satyal Foundation (BSF), make an effort to never leave out fun extracurricular activities. This summer, the BSF staff, and a few volunteering older students took the Contact Center children on a fun and educational field trip to the Kathmandu Zoo.

An Incredible Adventure
A few of our students were accompanied by the BSF staff on a three day Adventure Trip. The goal of this trip was to broaden our students’ views and empower them to discover more about their culture, history, and the spectacular scenery of Nepal.

Sponsors: The Genies of Mitrata
This year we have 11 young students who are moving from the Contact Center to private schools. These are unique children with their own stories, hopes, and dreams, but each has one need in common: a sponsor who will support their care and education as they grow and prepare to make their wishes come true.
