2024 Holiday Wish List & An Exciting Announcement

Mitrata’s 2024 holiday wish is to continue providing comprehensive healthcare for our 137 children.

This year, our healthcare partner, Karma Thalo Foundation officially closed their doors. They have provided our children and their families with an annual health clinic and funded checkups, vaccinations, medications, and treatments that they never could have afforded on their own. We are deeply grateful for their support for many years.

This change has left a significant void in services available to our children. This summer’s unprecedented flooding in Kathmandu and rural areas has exacerbated the situation. Now more than ever, our children need extra checkups, dental care, braces, vaccinations, glasses, and essential medications. Some require surgeries or treatments for unexpected and ongoing health issues.

Because of a lifetime of poverty and the recent devastating pandemic, we have more children receiving counseling and psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. Our NGO partner Bhuvaneshwori Satyal Foundation (BSF), is busier than ever taking children to doctor appointments and hospitals and coordinating care.

Moving forward, funding comprehensive healthcare for our children through the rest of this year and in 2025 is a major priority for us. But we cannot do it alone. We need your help to ensure these children receive the care they desperately need.

Our fundraising goal this year is $35,000.

Every gift, regardless of size, will go toward these efforts, making a tangible difference in the health and lives of Nepal’s most vulnerable children.

We are SO close to reaching our goal!

We have raised $28,000 of our $35,000 goal!

There are two ways to give toward this goal:
