BSF Staff Videos: Aleesh
Aleesh is a Program Coordinator at BSF. He is in charge of keeping our kids on track and communicating with our kids and their parents. His work is more important now than ever as our children have moved back home with their families in these unprecedented times.
“Hello, namaste, I’m Aleesh. I’ve been working with BSF as a program coordinator since last seven years. Basically, I work with the kids to help them better withstand the program, find the right schools and college, meet the teachers, know how they are performing academically, physically, and emotionally. I make sure all the problems related to them are probably addressed. In the moment, there is a lot done due to the ongoing pandemic, COVID-19, across the globe, and it’s been almost two weeks since the lockdown began here in our country Nepal. We have an emergency meeting as soon as the news hit the floor. With the nationwide lockdown, we discussed how to cope up with the situation, keeping our communication intact and work together as a team as we always do. Ever since the lockdown started, we have been working from home, although we are always ready for a home visit or a field visit in case of emergencies. I have been communicating with all the kids, and we have organized a phone tree chart where some of our students have volunteered to make sure the communication is easier and more effective. In this crucial time, we all have to stay strong, positive, as well as remain well-informed and aware of the situation. We share the news and updates among our colleagues as well as the students. And lastly, what I would like to say to all of the Mitrata family is that we are all in this together, and we will get through this together. Thank you for showing your courage and willingness to help each other in any situation. Stay safe, and take care of yourself and people around you. See until next time!”
