What does it mean to be a Contact Center Sponsor?
Sponsoring the Contact Center looks different than our child sponsorship program.
Most notably, it is a flexible sponsorship option, while still enabling the sponsor to make a difference in the lives of children halfway around the world.
Unlike our child sponsorship program, when you choose to sponsor the Contact Center, you are sponsoring the whole program, not one specific child. This means your sponsorship funds are going toward readying 30+ children for school. These children are between the ages of 3-10 and are illiterate, malnourished, and underdeveloped. These are some of the most vulnerable children in Nepal.
As you are not sponsoring one individual child, the cost of Contact Center sponsorship is more flexible. You can choose to sponsor with any amount above $20 per month or $240 per year.
Yes, it is totally up to you!
Every spring and fall when a team travels to Nepal, our child sponsors send and receive letters from their sponsored children. The Contact Center children also enjoy sending cards to the Contact Center sponsors. The Contact Center Sponsors also receive a link to view recent photos and updates on the Contact Center children too.
Contact Center sponsors are always welcome to join the Sponsor Trip to Nepal in the fall. There they will have the chance to visit the Contact Center and spend time with the children. We also typically visit the homes of some of our Contact Center children to learn what their lives are like outside of school. On top of that, we spend quality time with the children exploring and having field trips to the Zoo or Fun Park!
If you are considering directly helping the Mitrata children, but do not want to sponsor a specific child, then supporting all 30+ of our youngest most vulnerable children of the Contact Center is a great option and really makes a difference!
