Miles for Mitrata Kids 2022 Results
As Miles for Mitrata Kids comes to a close, we wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU! This year we had 39 participants and six teams. These individuals were able to raise $25,000 for our Contact Center!

Although this is a virtual event, a few of our participants scheduled events that allowed them to gather with other participants and earn “miles” together! Two of those events were the Team Bike Stop Café cycling ride, and the Hike with Pam. We would like to send a huge thank you to the hosts for putting their time and effort into organizing those events!
Because Miles for Mitrata Kids is a virtual event, participants are able to participate in any way they so choose. This allows for a great variety of participation methods. A few of the different activities this month were:
Long-Distance Motorcycle Rides
Hiking/Trail Running
Walking
Bicycle Riding
Pull-Ups
Kayaking

The proceeds raised during Miles for Mitrata Kids will directly benefit the Contact Center, Mitrata's Montessori-style early childhood education center. The Contact Center currently serves 22 of our most vulnerable and at-risk children during a critical period of their lives. Over the past two years, the Contact Center has served as a distribution point for emergency packs and school supplies to our most at-risk families, a meeting point for socially distanced classes and tutoring, and as temporary housing. At the beginning of this year, our Nepal partner, BSF, was able to move the Contact Center into a bigger building that is much better suited to our needs. Because of the size, the new building is still being filled with the necessary furniture and technology. The funds raised by our participants will enable us to fully utilize the new space, and to make a difference in the lives of even more children!
To our Miles for Mitrata Kids Supporters and Participants:
Thank you all for your participation in Miles for Mitrata Kids and your dedication to providing a safe haven for the learning and health of our most at-risk children. With your help we will be able to limit the negative impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on their lives and education and help them reach a brighter future! If you are a participant, or if you simply wish to donate to a good cause, the fundraising pages will be active until July 15th, so feel free to continue your fundraising activities until then!
To our Event Sponsors:
THANK YOU! We are so grateful to these local Seattle and St. Louis businesses who have stepped up to support our mission. Our event sponsors are integral to the success of Miles for Mitrata Kids. We couldn’t do it without you!
