Leavin’ on a Jetplane...

I really do hate to go. The trip this year has been wonderful. There are many great memories with the sponsors Jacque Richmond, Pam and Ralph Caraffa, Angie Schutz, Nancy Williger and Reva Meadows.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with the kids, the adventures in Pokhara and the hospitality of the BSF staff. They are amazing working with the kids every day in spite of all the traffic, pollution headaches and the notorious redtape of the bureaucracy of schools and government.

After the sponsors left I have stayed for three weeks. We have accomplished a lot with the many meetings at schools with children, working with BSF staff to plan for future needs and evaluate our programs.

I am so proud of our older kids making their way in the world. It is so exciting to see them getting good jobs, finishing their education and going out to conquer the world!

So with sadness and love in my heart, I say goodbye to Nepal until next year!

I will miss Sarita’s dal bhat!
