Flash Floods In Nepal Wipe Out Food and Farmland

Sad news from Nepal. Every year the summer monsoons bring rain and flooding to people of Nepal. This year is particularly bad with days of heavy rain leading to flash floods that killed at least 173 people across Nepal, India and Bangladesh and much destruction of land and landslides. In Nepal search-and-rescue missions are still going on with more than 90 people dead. Important farmland has also been wiped out and many people are subsistence farmers relying on their crops for food. The government does not usually do much to assist those in need. We are sending our prayers of compassion for all of Nepal and to our friends and families of our children who may be affected. We are sharing this image from news source Aljazeera.
