2019 Trip to Nepal - Join Me

November 4 -21, 2019 (approx.)

Please join me in our child sponsor/donor trip to Nepal November 2019! Each year I travel to Nepal to visit our children, our NGO partner and to provide oversight to our programs for underprivileged children in Nepal. I invite you to see firsthand the difference you have made to the lives of our children. Come and experience Nepal, a culturally rich country with diverse religious traditions, amazing natural beauty, art and architecture and of course, the Himalayas.

Warmly, Christine

Overview of the Trip

Our trip is roughly two weeks in duration plus air travel time. Approximate dates are from November 4 -21, 2019. We will stay in moderately priced Nepali style hotels and have a four day excursion to the resort town of Pokhara with breathtaking views of the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. In Pokhara, we will have two options either a short 2-day trek into the lower Himalaya foothills for those who want to hike or sightseeing in Pokhara and boating on Phewa Lake. We will meet the children studying and living in boarding school, visit the Contact Center, our early childhood program for school readiness, see children’s homes, meet school and NGO staff and enjoy the Mitrata graduation ceremony.  Sponsors  will take the children on at least one field trip and spend  personal time with their children too. Of course, there is always shopping for Nepali handicrafts and exploration of the fascinating city of Kathmandu.

Cost of the Trip

Approximate cost of the trip is $2,000 to $2,500 per person and includes hotels with breakfast, transfers, admission to cultural sites, air conditioned van transportation, and guides. Other meals, taxis, tips and souvenirs are not included and paid in Nepali rupees. Current exchange rate is 113 RS =  1 USD.  Additional air travel costs which can vary from year to year are $1,800 to $2,500 approx. per person for an economy ticket plus roundtrip airfare from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Group Trip Meetings

We schedule at least two meetings by Skype or in person to discuss the trip, what you should take and what to expect as a group. We go over the details and share a detailed agenda.
